They were married a few months ago, and haven’t even seen their wedding pictures yet! No word from the photographer, and not a single picture…. My friend Kyle told me this, and we decided to do a shoot for them. I’ve always wanted to shoot a couple in their wedding outfits, with a car burning out. Kristin & Cody were very excited to do this…. Kyle and his friend Josh pulled this shoot together, and I flew up to Kewlona, Canada to make it happen.

Thanks to EVERYONE who made this shoot happen… Especially PhotographyMentor.com members Kyle, Josh, Joelene, Everest, and Sal… We had a great day of shooting. This is just  a few sample pictures.

Gary and Courtney were the winners, and were an awesome couple to work with. Gary’s last name is Courtney, so now Courtney’s new name is “Courtney Courtney”….

The Wedding was held at Westin Diplomat, Hollywood Beach…. and was sponsored by US Magazine, Wedding Channel, Cold Stone Creamery, Guinness, and more…. We had 3 hours before the wedding to shoot all around the hotel with Gary and Courtney, and got some great images….

We had a blast…. the reception was held on the beach, and turned into a great party!!!

Here’s a picture I did a while back that gave me the inspiration for the shoot we’re doing. I shot this very quickly on the tail end of a Shoot for KTM Motorcycles. The KTM rep said “can we get a burnout shot”?  Who was I to say no :)

I wish I had more time to set this shot up, but we had to shoot it right away….

This is a shot from their engagement session on the Santa Monica Pier…. where Daniel asked Joy to marry him.

We were doing the engagement shoot, and noticed that there were a couple thousand people on the Pier. They just happened to be opening the new Ferries Wheel that night, and shot off fireworks. We ran down to the beach just as the first shot went off. This is actually the first photo I shot….. The rest look like the pier is on fire because there was so much smoke….
